Aashish Shankar is an Indian engineer who served as a Wrangler on PATHOS-II, stationed at Upsilon.
Biography
In April 2103, Shankar relocated to Theta along with the rest of Upsilon's crew members apart from Amy Azzaro and Carl Semken.
Shankar was one of the remaining crewmembers scheduled to be scanned for the ARK project when John Strohmeier shut it down following the suicide of Guy Konrad.
When Terry Akers and the Proxies attacked Theta on January 16, 2104, Shankar and Upsilon Chief Factor Jane Adams attempted to fight back.
His fate is unknown, but the way Brandon Wan speaks of his fate alongside Adams makes it clear that it was gruesome enough to convince Wan that attempting to fight back was futile. This indicates that he and Adams may have been killed or reanimated in a rather traumatizing way, though it's also possible they were put into a comatose state like some of the other personnel at Theta. The sight of seeing them put into such a state, or the aftermath, was also traumatizing for Wan.
