Aleksey Ivashkin (Алексей Ивашкин) was the beloved son of Nicolai Ivashkin.
Biography[]
Aleksey’s fate is unknown, but if he had lived up to 2103 he would have been killed in the Impact Event along with the rest of Earth.
His father, Nicolai, who became an engineer at PATHOS-II kept a photo of Aleksey with him, and brought it with him when he and the rest of the ARK team left Theta and headed to Tau.
Some time after Jasper Hill’s death, Nicolai succumbed to starvation in the same room while clutching the photo of Aleksey.
In SOMA[]
When Simon Jarrett encounters Nicolai's corpse at Tau, he appears to be dreaming, with it sounding like he's reuniting with Aleksey. The photograph can be found on the bed next to him. Nicolai can be heard wheezing Aleksey’s name several times. "L'yoshka" (Лёшка) is a diminutive form of the name Alexey.
