Gavin Finley is a PATHOS-II Field Service Technician stationed at Upsilon.

Biography

Finley was one of the first members of Upsilon to be scanned by the WAU using the pilot seats. The side effects of the scan were so severe that he fell into a coma for 30 hours, which prompted Upsilon Chief Factor Jane Adams to suspend all further usage of the pilot system.

In April 2103, a Mockingbird of Finley (presumably made from the earlier scan) worked alongside Louise Meuron to activate the turbo batteries during the evacuation of Upsilon. Upon completion of this task the Mockingbird was destroyed by Carl Semken, with the human Finley relocating to Theta along with the majority of Upsilon's staff.

On August 12, 2103, Finley was scanned for the ARK by Catherine Chun. After the scan was complete he killed himself, either in the pilot seat or shortly after as a "continuity" suicide.

Behind the Scenes

The VOICE file for the E3 map of Upsilon lists Finley as the brain scan inside the "Talking Door" that Simon accidentally kills by using the first WAU Flower in the game. This was changed to "Voice" in the final game.
