Jacob Halperin was a PATHOS-II operative stationed at Omicron. In SOMA, there were registers of him conducting experiments with the structure gel.
Biography[]
In Transmission #1, while venturing through Upsilon, Adam Golaski finds the Mockingbird of one Harry Halperin, supposedly a former co-worker from Omicron. However, there is no Harry Halperin stationed at Omicron, only Jacob Halperin. The only canonically accurate explanation for this is that "Harry" is one of Jacob Halperin's nicknames.
On April 7, 2103, at Omicron, Jacob Halperin recorded the results of an experiment in which structure gel was applied to a dead mouse causing it to re-animate and to attack a living mouse. Half an hour later the re-animated mouse had stopped moving since the gel within its body had hardened.
On July, 09, 2103, Jacob Halperin recorded another experiment with re-animating a mouse, but this time, it was done with the uncalibrated gel as produced by Claudia Eames. It made the mouse appeared as if in a catatonic state. Electromagnets were used to cause a low electrical current within the animal in order to avoid the hardening of the gel as before.
Halperin was scanned by Catherine Chun for the ARK on December 25, 2103 when the ARK team arrived at Omicron.
Halperin died on January 16, 2104, when the WAU overloaded the blackboxes of all crewmembers at Omicron.
